The Olympics!

Finally, for the first time ever,

a resident of Albania goes to the olympics!

Olympics Games: Participant from Albania by Mayra Alexandra Gaviria Maldonado was born May 26, 1997, Albania, Caqueta at the age of 14 she started practicing hammer throw, also in the athletics modality, besides, she was focused on playing volleyball and basketball. In 2023 she obtained a degree in bacteriology at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a year later she fulfilled her dream of participating in the Olympics Games In Paris 2024 representing Colombia in the hammer throw, she was ranked 34 in her discipline, at the end of the competition she suffered a serious injury to her right shoulder from which she is now recovering. However, she qualified 32, which meant that she did not advance to the next round of the Olympics Games.
